HoR passes condolence motion on demise of former MPs

The House of Representative (HoR) meeting held Monday passed a condolence motion on the demise of former Member of Parliaments (MPs) Shyam Sundar Tibedwal and Mina Pandey.

The house passed the condolence motion tabled by HoR Speaker Devraj Ghimire.

The former MP Shyam Sundar had passed away on April 5 at Hams Hospital in the Capital City. Shyam Sundar was elected the Constituent Assembly (CA) member in 2070 BS from the Rastriya Prajatantra Party under the proportional electoral system.

Likewise, NC leader and former MP Pandey died last week at the age of 72.

Pandey, also the former State Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, served as the lawmaker thrice in 2048 BS, 2064 BS and 2074 BS.

The next meeting of the HoR shall convene at 11:00 am on Tuesday.

The HoR meeting is scheduled to hold discussions on the budget of the upcoming fiscal year.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly meeting also passed a condolence motion on the demise of Shyam Sundar.

NA Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina tabled the condolence motion on the demise of CA member Shyam Sundar.

The upcoming NA meeting shall convene at 11:11 am on Tuesday.
