Baitadi: A house belonging to Himalay Bohara has been buried at Chankilli of Purchaudi municipality-4 in the district. The three-story house collapsed in the landslide triggered by the incessant rainfall, according to Baldev Badu, spokesperson at the District Police Office, Baitadi. However, no human fatality was reported.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the family members escaped injury as they promptly left the house, noticing the gradual landslip above the house in time. The livestock, including some buffaloes and goats, and the clothes in the house perished in the disaster. The details on the loss are yet to be ascertained.
The locals and police personnel are now clearing the wreckage. The 11-member Bohara family is taking shelter in a neighbor’s home.
