Kathmandu: The House of Representatives meeting initially slated for 1 pm today has been postponed to 1 pm tomorrow, Wednesday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the rescheduling was conveyed through a notice issued by the Secretary-General of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandeya. The notice specifies that the meeting will now occur on Wednesday at 1 pm, as per sub-rule 3 of Rule 6 of the House of Representatives Rules, 2083.
In today’s originally scheduled meeting of the lower house of the Federal Parliament, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sobita Gautam, was set to present the ‘Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’. Additionally, she was to propose consideration of the ‘Mediation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083’.
The agenda also included the Law Minister’s plans to table an ‘Agreement under UN Convention on the Law of the Sea on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction’.
Minister for Youths, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, was also on the schedule to propose the ‘Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Bill, 2083’ be sent to the relevant committee for detailed discussion.
