Pokhara: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the role of local industrialists and businesspeople was crucial to march ahead on the path to socialism. At a programme on ‘Role of Nepali Industrialists and Businesspeople in the Socialism-Oriented Economy’ organized by the Federation of Nepal Industry and Businessmen in Pokhara, the former PM called for contributions from all sides for the establishment of socialism.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prachanda emphasized that the country is progressing towards establishing socialism through good governance, social justice, and prosperity. He noted that the contribution of industrialists and businesspeople is immense in this endeavor. Furthermore, Prachanda highlighted that his party has proposed a clear roadmap to make Nepal a self-reliant and sovereign economic country.
Meanwhile, speaking at a separate programme in Palungtar, Gorkha, CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha expressed that a constitution amendment is needed to maintain political stability in the country. He asserted that political stability could be ensured only through constitution amendment, good governance, and political cleansing, adding that the major task of the country at present is to uplift people’s livelihood.
