Industry Minister Bhandari Off to India to Attend Partnership Summit.


New Delhi: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari left here today for New Delhi, India, to participate in the formal programme of the Partnership Summit 2024. Organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India, the Summit is scheduled for December 2 and 3 in the Indian capital. Discussions will focus on Government-Industry partnerships, among other topics.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Bhandari is attending the Summit at the invitation of India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal. Besides India, ministers from Nepal, Algeria, Bahrain, Bhutan, Israel, Italy, South Africa, Cambodia, Myanmar, Qatar, and Senegal, among others, will also be present at the Summit, as stated by Ananda Bhatta, Minister Bhandari’s private secretary.

This year, the Partnership Summit will explore seven broad tracks, including trade, the future of industrialization, sustainability and climate action, technology and innovation, growth, geoeconomic framework, and inclusi
on. The summit aims to bring together global experts to deliberate on these diverse topics and contribute to high-level discussions. It serves as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas and facilitating trade and business collaboration, striving towards a prosperous and collaborative future.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the 29th CII Partnership Summit 2024 on December 2-3 in New Delhi. The CII Partnership Summit, held annually since 1995, has regularly partnered with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The previous summit in March 2023 saw participation from 67 countries, with over 2000 business delegates and more than 400 international delegates.
