Intensify Anti-Mosquito Drive to Prevent Dengue: Minister Paudel


Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has called for heightened preparedness to combat the spread of diseases, particularly dengue, during the monsoon season. In a recent meeting with chiefs of various departments and divisions under the ministry, Minister Paudel emphasized the need to enhance efforts to protect the population from diseases.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Paudel stressed the importance of launching an anti-mosquito campaign, complete with necessary planning and tools, urging officials to take proactive measures. He advised against repeating past mistakes and highlighted the importance of strengthening border management due to the spread of coronavirus in neighboring India. He underscored the necessity of cooperation and coordination among the three layers of government to address these challenges.



Ministry spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki announced plans for a meeting to coordinate efforts among the three tiers of government in preventing dengue and other diseases.
