Kathmandu: The K-Food Programme, an initiative spearheaded by students who have gained work experience in Korea and subsequently returned to Nepal, concluded today. The event garnered enthusiastic participation from students who received scholarships from the Korean government and have since returned to Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the programme was hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and provided participants with an opportunity to relive their Korean experiences through its culinary offerings. During the event, Ambassador Thayang Park of the Republic of Korea to Nepal highlighted the significance of sharing Korean cuisine and cherished memories with family and friends, stating that such initiatives would strengthen the bilateral relationship at a people-to-people level.
Ambassador Park further emphasized that the application of knowledge and skills acquired in Korea by returning students would not only benefit the individuals themselves but also contribute to Nepal’s overall prosperity. The Korean government has been a consistent supporter of establishing a sustainable startup ecosystem for the youth in Nepal, aligning with its goals of fostering employment and boosting the national economy.
The ‘K-Food’ programme was an integral part of the K-Food entrepreneurship training held in Kathmandu last August.
