Kailali Customs Office Collects Rs 1.79 Billion in Revenue


Kailali: The Kailali Customs Office collected Rs 1.79 billion in revenue in the past three months. The Office reported that this amount was gathered during the first three months of the current fiscal year starting from Sawan.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Information Officer of the Office, Khim Prasad Aryal, shared that Rs 696.7 million was collected under the customs tariffs, while Rs 689.8 million came from the Value Added Tax (VAT). Additionally, Rs 50 million was collected from excise duty and Rs 355.8 million from other headings. Despite these collections, the Office did not meet its revenue targets for any of the months.



During this period, the Office managed to collect 18.46 percent of the annual target. The Kailali Customs Office aims to collect Rs 9.71 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year 2082/083 BS, following a total collection of Rs 8.66 billion in the last fiscal year.
