Mustang: A motorable bridge has been constructed over the Setokhola stream in Thasang Rural Municipality-3, Mustang, under the Beni-Jomsom-Korala section of the Kali Gandaki Corridor roadway. This national pride project is a significant infrastructure development connecting China and India.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project Office in Mustang completed the construction of a 25-metre-long motorable bridge. This development eliminates the need to ferry vehicles across the Setokhola River, streamlining transportation in the region.
The Information Officer of the Project Office, Bishnu Chapagain, reported that the 11-metre-wide RCC bridge was constructed at a cost of Rs 63 million 579 thousand 696. Chapagain highlighted that 13 out of the 24 motorable bridges required on the 202-kilometre-long Beni-Jomsom-Korala road have been completed so far.
Engineer Chapagain further mentioned that the construction of two additional motorable bridges over the Kaihku and Kowang rivers in Thasang Rural Municipality is nearing completion.
