Syangja:The floodwaters of the Kaligandaki River have completely destroyed a crucial concrete bridge. This bridge connected Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-7 Mirmi in Syangja with Kaligandaki Rural Municipality-1 Harmichour in Gulmi.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Ramesh Dutt Awasthi, the Information Officer at the District Police Office, confirmed the loss of the motorable bridge due to the flood.
The severe weather prompted the opening of all gates of the Kaligandaki ‘A’ hydropower project in Mirmi, Syangja. Consequently, power generation at the project has been suspended. Additionally, the Setiveni market, located at the confluence of Syangja, Parbat, and Gulmi, has been flooded.
