New York:Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal of Nepal and Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan recently met in New York during the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the two ministers discussed shared interests and explored ways to enhance the friendly and cooperative ties between Nepal and Armenia. They addressed various topics, including climate change mitigation, renewable energy, and information technology, as well as approaches to tackle common issues in multilateral forums.
In a separate meeting, Foreign Minister Khanal met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates. During this meeting, Khanal expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s commitment of 25 million US dollars to Nepal. Their discussions also focused on cooperation in labor, trade, investment, tourism, renewable energy, and multilateral platform engagement.
