Kami Rita Sets Record of Highest Number of Climbing Mt Everest for 31st Time


Kathmandu: The world record holder climber Kami Rita Sherpa has successfully scaled Mt Everest for the 31st time, breaking the record he set last year. The 55-year-old Sherpa from Thame, Solukhumbu, reached the summit of the world’s tallest peak at 4:00 am today, surpassing his own previous record.



According to National News Agency Nepal, last year, Kami Rita set a record by scaling Mt Everest for the 29th and 30th time. The Department of Tourism has announced that the climbing season for Mt Everest has concluded today.



During this climbing season, approximately 500 people successfully scaled Mt Everest, as reported by the Department of Tourism.
