Kanti Highway Closed for Two Nights Due to Cyclone Arnab Risks

Makwanpur:Vehicular movement has been suspended on the Kanti Highway for two consecutive nights due to increased risks of floods and landslides. The decision comes as a result of incessant rains from Cyclone Arnab, which developed over the Bay of Bengal.

According to National News Agency RSS, the assistant chief district officer of Makwanpur, Sheshkant Paudel, announced that vehicles are banned from using the highway from 500 pm to 500 am for two days, starting this evening.

The persistent rains triggered by the cyclone have been ongoing since Thursday. In response, the District Administration Office of Makwanpur has advised everyone to avoid traveling on the route connecting Makwanpur to Kathmandu during these two nights.
