Makawanpur: The vehicular movement along the Kanti Highway was obstructed from early morning today as a flood in Baguwakhola washed away a diversion. The incident has caused significant disruption for commuters relying on this route.
According to National News Agency RSS, the flood in the river followed heavy rain, which led to the collapse of the diversion constructed in Baguwakhola. The local police confirmed the situation, highlighting the challenges posed by the sudden onset of the flood.
Spokesperson of District Police Office, Makawanpur, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyamu Aryal, reported that the flash flood in the river washed away the hume pipes, thereby causing the disruption of vehicular movement. Efforts are underway to resume traffic flow, with maintenance work on the diversion already initiated.
