Ljubljana:Palpa Two individuals have died and three others are missing following landslides in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the fatalities were confirmed as Sher Bahadur Chidi, 75, from Rupse Rajauli, Mathagadhi-2, and Krishna Kumari Saru, 59, from Thimure Dhustung, Ribdikot-6. Their bodies have been retrieved and sent to the District Hospital Pala for post-mortem examinations.
In another incident, a landslide at Kaseni Bhaisekatta in Mathagadhi-3 buried the residence of Lil Bahadur Gharti Magar. Three people, including two family members of Gharti and a neighbor’s daughter, are reported missing.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai stated that a search operation is underway to locate the missing individuals.
