Kathmandu: The last rites of the late Dr Ram Narayan Sah were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat according to Vedic traditions. Sah, who was the father of Balendra Sah, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, passed away at the Civil Service Hospital in Kathmandu during treatment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Sah was being treated for diabetes and urine infections at the time of his death. His contributions were acknowledged by various dignitaries present at the ceremony. Among those in attendance were Communications Minister Jagadish Kharel, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Minister for Youths and Sports Bablu Gupta, former minister Rajendra Mahato, and many others from various sectors who gathered to pay their last respects.
In his professional life, Sah held the position of Managing Director at Singhadurbar Vaidhyakhana and served as the Director of the Ayurveda Department. His work and dedication in the field of Ayurveda were recognized by many during the funeral proceedings.
