Sankhuwasabha: Last rites of Prabin Kulung, 21, of Silichong rural municipality, who died in the course of the Gen-Z protests, were performed. He was shot dead during the protests that occurred in Kathmandu.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief District Officer of Sankhuwasabha, Srijana Thapaliya, informed that the last rites of Kulung were performed in Lakuwa of Silichong-3. Kulung’s body was transported from Biratnagar to Silichong via a Nepal Army helicopter. His body had been kept in Biratnagar after adverse weather conditions made it impossible to transport it to Silichong on Tuesday.
Chairperson of Silichong rural municipality, Bhupal Raj Mewahang, honored Kulung by draping his body in the national flag before performing the final rites. Kulung had been residing in Kathmandu for the past few years, during which he was learning the Korean language.
