Life Returns to Normalcy After Lifting Curfew and Prohibitory Order in Bhaktapur


Bhaktapur: Life in Bhaktapur district has gradually returned to normal as the District Administration Office lifted the curfew and prohibitory order from Saturday afternoon.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the administration had imposed the curfew and prohibitory order in the district following the situation created after the Gen-Z revolt on September 8 and 9. With the lifting of these restrictions, markets have reopened, and agencies have resumed their service centers.



Chief District Officer of Bhaktapur, Namaraj Ghimire, stated that a meeting of the District Security Committee on Saturday decided to lift the curfew order due to a stable law and order situation in the district. Ghimire also mentioned that efforts are ongoing to assess the loss incurred by government offices, clear debris, and ensure regular service delivery.



Private vehicles have returned to the streets, and there was significant activity in the district’s markets on Saturday. Additionally, Nepal Army personnel have returned to their barracks, and police personnel have resumed their regular duties.
