Lumbini: The Lumbini province government has set its course to improve living standards of the people, develop a prosperous province based on sustainable development and win the hearts of the people.
According to National News Agency RSS, in the policy and programme of the province government presented in the Province Assembly today for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 BS, emphasis has been laid on gradually improving physical infrastructure and human development, enhancing coordination and collaboration among three tiers of government, preparing the base for legal and human capital to institutionalize the province and ensuring balance in development.
Province Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti Magar presented the policies and programmes in today’s meeting of the provincial assembly, covering various topics including overall development of the provincial government, good governance, service delivery, agriculture, infrastructure, education, health, and environment.
The policies and programmes prioritize coordinated operation of all ministries and agencies of the province, aiming for significant improvements in governance, citizen-friendly administration, and service delivery.
It has been mentioned that campaigns such as ‘Mobile in hand – Provincial government services at hand’ will be initiated to encourage the use of technology.
The policy will be adopted to increase productivity in agriculture, develop agriculture as the backbone of prosperity, keep farmers’ fields always green, and deliver agricultural services right at the doorsteps.
