Madhav Nepal Advocates for Scientific Socialism to Drive Economic and Social Change

Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has emphasized the need for implementing scientific socialism as a means to achieve the nation’s economic development and social transformation.

According to National News Agency Nepal, at a programme organized by the Bagmati Province Committee of the CPN (Unified Socialist) on Sunday, the former Prime Minister articulated that economic activities should be driven by industrialization, with a focus on mobilizing national capital. He suggested that these efforts could pave the way for a socialist revolution within the nation.

Furthermore, he highlighted that boosting national production could lead to a self-reliant economy by aiding in import substitution and reducing the trade deficit. Chairman Nepal also expressed concerns over the issues of instability, corruption, and impunity, which he attributed to the deterioration of the communist movement in the country.
