Kathmandu: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has announced that the monsoon has started to withdraw from Nepal as of today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the monsoon has already retreated from the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, as well as many areas in the western part of Lumbini Province. Additionally, a few parts of Gandaki Province have also witnessed the monsoon’s departure.
In a bulletin released today, the Department stated that monsoon winds have been gradually weakening. It is anticipated that these winds will withdraw from the remaining parts of the country over the next few days.
The Department has also committed to providing ongoing updates on further developments related to the monsoon.
