Mustang Customs Office Collects Rs 1.37 Billion in Revenue in Early Fiscal Year

Lomanthang: The Mustang Customs Office located at Lomanthang has reported a revenue collection of Rs 1.37 billion in the first two months of the current fiscal year.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Department of Customs introduced the Korala Check Point in the Mustang district as an alternative trade route. This decision came after landslides and flooding disrupted the Rasuwagadi and Tatopani check points.

Ramesh Khadka, Chief of the Mustang Customs Office, noted that the Korala check point became fully operational on September 15. There have been significant improvements in revenue collection within just two weeks of its operation. During this period, 769 vehicles and goods-loaded containers were dispatched to their destinations following customs clearance, Khadka added. The exports to China from Nepal included handicrafts and local products.

The Customs Office has announced that it will remain open during the Dashain holiday, except on the day of Bijaya Dashami.
