Mutual Dialogue Proposed to Address Border Issues: General Secretary Pokharel


Bardibas: General Secretary of the CPN UML, Shankar Pokharel, has criticized both India and China for disregarding Nepal’s concerns while agreeing to open the India-China route via the Limpiyadhura border point for trade.



According to National News Agency Nepal, at a press conference organized by Press Chautari in Bardibas, General Secretary Pokharel emphasized that Nepal’s map, which includes the land from the Mahakali River as Nepali territory, is based on factual evidence and the Sugauli Treaty of 1816. He stressed that Nepal is keen on resolving the issue through mutual dialogue and discussion.



Pokharel also mentioned that the visits of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to India and China are in the planning stages and will proceed accordingly.
