National Assembly Chair Urges Government and Parties to Prioritize People’s Welfare

Kathmandu: National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal has emphasized the importance of the government and political parties directing their efforts towards improving the conditions of the populace. During a program held today, Dahal remarked that despite changes in the political system, there has not been a noticeable transformation in the living standards of the citizens.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Dahal highlighted that the public is in need of education, health, employment, and economic prosperity. He pointed out that there is a prevailing sense of despondency among the population, as marginalized groups, castes, genders, regions, and communities are unable to fully access their constitutionally guaranteed rights, such as education, health, housing, employment, and drinking water.

Dahal further stated that education serves as the backbone of the country’s development. He underscored the necessity for every child to have the opportunity to study without fear, noting the significant role the education sector plays in building a prosperous society and contributing to the nation’s progress.
