Kathmandu: Tul Prasad Bishwakarma of Rastriya Janamorcha has emphasized that “Monarchy can’t be an alternative to republic.” Speaking during a special hour of the National Assembly, he expressed his concerns over statements made by some individuals regarding the potential reinstatement of the former monarch to Narayanhiti Palace (Museum). Bishwakarma urged the government to take note of these concerns and reiterated that “Monarchy can’t be the alternative to republic.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, Bishwakarma also highlighted several pressing issues that require the government’s attention. He called for addressing the problems faced by people affected by wildlife in the eastern part of Saptari. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of strengthening local levels of governance, ensuring free education and health services, and addressing the demands of agitating community school teachers.
