Kathmandu: President of the Nepali Congress, Gagan Kumar Thapa, has stated that the Nepali Congress (NC) will work to connect people of Nepali origin who are living around the world. During a meeting with a delegation of the Association of Nepali Origin (ANO) in the federal capital on Thursday, Thapa emphasized that his party’s election manifesto aimed to unite Nepali-speaking individuals residing in different countries.
According to National News Agency Nepal, ANO Chairman Dilli Adhikari mentioned that investment could be mobilized from people of Nepali origin to foster development and prosperity in Nepal. He urged the Nepali Congress to support creating laws that are favorable for attracting investment from the Nepali diaspora.
The delegation also requested the NC to take initiatives to ensure the safety and rescue of Nepalis working and living in West Asia amid ongoing conflicts.
