NC Leader Tirtharam Dangol Passes Away at 77


Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former State Minister for Health Tirtharam Dangol passed away last night at the age of 77.

According to National News Agency Nepal, a family source confirmed that Dangol, who was receiving treatment for prostate cancer and kidney-related ailments, died at KMC Hospital located in Sinamangal, Kathmandu.

During his political career, Dangol held several significant positions, including serving as the treasurer and district committee president of the Nepali Congress in Kathmandu. He also served as the deputy mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Leader Dangol is survived by his wife. Nepali Congress leader Bhimsen Das Pradhan announced that the body of Dangol will be kept at the NC Central Office from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for tributes, and he will be cremated at Teku Dovan this afternoon.
