Beijing: Nepal and the People’s Republic of China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) related to cooperation and collaboration in eight specific areas, including trade promotion and technical assistance exchange. The agreement was finalized in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries today.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the MoU was signed following a bilateral meeting between Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Great Hall of the People. This signing marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
Prime Minister Oli is currently in China on a four-day official visit, aimed at fostering closer ties between the two neighboring countries. As part of the visit, the Chinese People’s Liberation Army presented a guard of honor to PM Oli prior to the bilateral meeting, underscoring the importance of the occasion.
