Kathmandu: Nepal’s army took back control of Kathmandu on Wednesday following the most severe violence the city has faced in twenty years, which resulted in the ousting of the prime minister and the parliament building being set on fire. The military has enforced a curfew and initiated discussions with protest leaders to restore order.
According to France24.com, Political Scientist Chandra Dev Bhatta, speaking from Kathmandu, indicated that the situation remains highly uncertain. He noted that the protesters are not unified, as the movement has been hijacked by different interest groups, complicating efforts to reach a resolution.
