KATHMANDU: Janakpur Bolts maintained their unbeaten streak in the Siddhartha Bank Nepal Premier League (NPL) T20 cricket tournament by defeating Kathmandu Gurkhas by 5 wickets. The match, held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, saw Janakpur chase down a target of 102 runs in 15.5 overs.
According to National News Agency Nepal, James Neesham led the scoring for Janakpur with 27 runs, supported by Harsh Thakar with 25 runs and Lahiru Milantha with 16 runs. On the bowling front, Janakpur’s captain Karan KC took two wickets, while Gerhard Erasmus, Dipesh Kandel, and Shahab Alam each claimed one wicket.
Kathmandu, having won the toss and elected to bat, were bowled out for 101 runs in 19.3 overs. Gerhard Erasmus top-scored with 20 runs for Kathmandu, followed by captain Karan KC with 19 runs and Stephen Eskinazi with 17 runs. For Janakpur, Lalit Rajbanshi and Sher Malla took three wickets each, while Mohammad Mohsin took two wickets, and Arniko Yadav and Kishor Mahato took one wicket each.
