One Killed in Early Morning Road Accident in Tinkune


Kathmandu: A person lost his life in a road accident that occurred in front of Gairigaun Petrol Pump in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Tinkune, early this morning. The tragic incident has raised concerns about road safety in the bustling city.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Sukram Tamang from Panauti municipality-11 in Kavrepalanchowk. Sukram was residing in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, at the time of the accident. The incident unfolded at 4:30 am when a tipper, bearing the registration number Ra 1 Kha 2622, collided with a motorcycle, registered as Pra 2-02-003 Pa 6245.



Sukram Tamang succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the Trauma Centre. The collision also resulted in injuries to the pillion rider, Ramesh Tamang, from Bethanchowk in Kavre, who is currently undergoing treatment at the same medical facility, according to police sources.



Law enforcement officials have successfully impounded the tipper from the cargo complex at Tribhuvan International Airport. However, the driver involved in the accident is currently at large, prompting an ongoing search by the authorities.
