PIRF Receives Rs 61 Million for Reconstruction Efforts


Kathmandu: The Physical Infrastructure Reconstruction Fund, established by the government to address the damage caused by arson and vandalism during the Gen-Z protest on September 8 and 9, has accumulated Rs 61 million so far.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Spokesperson of the Finance Ministry, Tanka Prasad Pandey, announced that the fund has received Rs 61 million as of this morning. The government has reached out to the general public, the private sector, Non-Resident Nepalis, development partners, and donor agencies, seeking their contributions to the fund.



A dedicated bank account has been set up at the Singha Durbar branch of Rastriya Banijya Bank for this reconstruction initiative. Contributions can be made to the government’s campaign by depositing funds into account number 1960102070004. The Finance Ministry is preparing to release the details of contributors to ensure transparency and encourage further support.
