PM Karki Discusses with Families of Gen Z Martyrs

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has held a discussion with families of the martyrs of the Gen Z movement on Sunday. The discussion took place at the PM’s Office in Singh Durbar, focusing on the government activities carried out as per the mandate received after the Gen Z protest.

According to National News Agency Nepal, a delegation led by Bhoj Bikram Thapa urged the government to address issues beyond elections, including the arrest of individuals who suppressed the Gen Z protest and engaged in corruption. The delegation highlighted the urgency of implementing the 14-point memorandum submitted earlier by the martyrs’ families, warning that failure to do so might lead to further agitation.

In response, PM Karki, along with Minister for Youths and Sports, Bablu Gupta, assured the delegation that the government was taking the Gen Z protest and its mandate seriously. They emphasized their commitment to addressing the demands put forth by the families of the Gen Z martyrs.

The meeting also included the presence of Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal and other officials.
