PM Oli Observes Sharma’s Painting Exhibition on Nepali History and Culture

Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli observed the painting exhibition by senior artist Hari Prasad Sharma here today. PM Oli viewed the exhibition themed ‘Nepal Down the Ages: Glimpse of Nepali History, Culture and Lifestyles in Painting’ that is ongoing at the Nepal Art Council at Babarmahal in Kathmandu.

According to National News Agency Nepal, a total of 60 paintings depicting traditional lifestyle, ancient culture, and the then social context of the Kathmandu Valley, as well as important developments in the country over various periods, have been kept at display at the exhibition.

PM Oli, after observing the paintings, commended the hard work and dedication put by painter Sharma into his artwork. Noting that it is not easy to portray Nepali art, culture, and history in painting, the septuagenarian Prime Minister lauded 83-year-old Sharma for remaining active in painting even at this age.

The exhibition organized by Nepal Heritage Association has been running since May 23.
