Kathmandu: CPN (Unified Socialist) senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has said that efforts are ongoing in the country to polarize the left forces for resolving political, economic, social, and cultural crises in the country.
According to National News Agency Nepal, at a programme organized on the 76th establishment day of the Nepal Communist Party, Khanal emphasized the need for unity among all splinters of the communist forces to safeguard nationality, improve people’s livelihood, and ensure social transformation. He noted that the people’s dream of prosperity has remained unfulfilled due to the self-centric psychology of major political parties, asserting that these parties should take responsibility for the rising public frustration.
Likewise, CPN (Unified Socialist) general secretary Ghanshyam Bhusal highlighted the issue of rising brain drain due to unemployment and inadequate academic progress. He advocated for the implementation of the progressive and socialist aspects of the constitution and stressed the importance of unity among leftists, progressive, nationalist, and democratic forces to combat regressive elements.
