Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is set to depart for an official visit to the People’s Republic of China on Monday, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The visit, scheduled from December 2 to 5, aims to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss matters of mutual interest between the two nations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Prime Minister’s itinerary includes a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing. Additionally, bilateral talks with Premier Li will focus on exchanging views on various topics of interest to both countries. The Prime Minister will also meet Zhao Leji, Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress in China.
During his visit, Prime Minister Oli will deliver a keynote speech at Peking University in Beijing. He is also expected to address the Nepal-China Business Forum, an event co-hosted by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the China Council for Promotion of International Trade, and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Com
merce and Industry.
Accompanying the Prime Minister on this visit will be his spouse, Radhika Shakya. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that the Nepali delegation will include Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, PM’s Chief Advisor Bishnu Prasad Rimal, PM’s Economic and Development Advisor Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, parliament members, high-level government officials, and representatives from the private sector and media.
The Prime Minister and his delegation are expected to return to Kathmandu on December 5.
