Kathmandu: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that the path to a prosperous, civilized, and progressive Nepal lies in the protection of the Constitution and the institutionalization of the federal democratic republic system. On the occasion of Republic Day, he extended his best wishes to all Nepalis residing both at home and abroad, emphasizing the collective responsibility to safeguard the historic achievements made possible through the sacrifices of the Nepali people.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the former Prime Minister expressed his belief that Republic Day should serve as an inspiration for everyone to work towards strengthening inclusive democracy and social justice, with a focus on equality and prosperity. Deuba paid tribute to those who have contributed to the protection and promotion of democracy, acknowledging the sacrifices made by many individuals in every democratic movement for civil freedoms, national independence, and the establishment and restoration of democracy.
