Kathmandu: Results of the election that took place in the by-election held on Sunday for 41 vacant posts in local levels will be known by tonight. So far, the result of 37 positions have been announced.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Election Commission has indicated that counting of votes for the post of mayor of Kirtipur municipality in Kathmandu, vice-chairperson of Gaurishankar rural municipality in Dolakha, vice-chairperson of Sarkegad rural municipality in Humla, and ward chairperson of Belaka municipality-9 in Udayapur is underway.
EC Spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal informed RSS that results for these four local levels might be received by late night today.
