Tunis:The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has launched an internal investigation into allegations against Khagendra Sunar, a member of the House of Representatives. These allegations, which have been reported in the media, have prompted the party to restrict Sunar from participating in any formal programs in his public post until the investigation is complete.
According to National News Agency Nepal, RSP General Secretary Bipin Kumar Acharya issued a press release stating that the party is taking the accusations seriously. The allegations involve undermining the dignity and respect of women, threats, intimidation, and suspicious financial transactions.

The RSP expressed confidence that state bodies would conduct an independent and impartial investigation based on facts. The party also committed to fully supporting the investigation process and reiterated its dedication to democratic values, asserting that no one is above the law. It clarified that further actions would be guided by the findings of both the state’s and the party’s investigations, as well as in accordance with the law and party statutes.
Finally, the RSP assured that it would not provide political protection to anyone found violating laws or engaging in activities contrary to official conduct.
