RSP to Play Supportive Role in Promoting National Interest and Unity

Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has declared its commitment to playing a supportive role in promoting national interest, unity, and harmony. Party General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti issued a statement highlighting the expectations from the interim government while emphasizing the party’s stance on potential government deviations.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the statement from the RSP underscored readiness to resist any deviations by the newly formed government from its declared goals. The party aims to support initiatives that align with national interest and foster unity and harmony. The RSP also highlighted the country’s achievement of its first female prime minister through the ‘Gen-Z’ movement, supported by the party, while noting concerns about constitutional compliance.

The RSP expressed expectations for the successful conduct of the general elections scheduled for March 5, 2026, by the interim government. The statement emphasized the need for a peaceful transfer of power, protection of democratic rights, and strong measures against corruption and impunity. Additionally, the RSP called for adherence to good governance, economic reforms, strengthened international relations, and rapid development.
