Shuklaphanta: Jungle safari has been resumed in Shuklaphanta National Park. The park administration has opened jungle safari for tourists in Shuklaphanta from Monday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the jungle safari for visitors to the park had remained closed since the onset of monsoon after the road was damaged due to rain. It is now open, as confirmed by the park’s information officer Purushottam Wagle.
The safari has been opened only on the specified routes, with two routes currently accessible. As repair work is underway on other routes, tourists will have to travel to Singhapur via Majhagaun Bathaniya Taal, Baba Taal, Dudhiya Camp, Rani Taal, and return via the same route. Additionally, the park administration has announced that the safari is open from Majhagaun Paliyaphanta-Hattisar Chowk to Barkola Post and back via the same route.
Spread over an area of 305 square kilometers, Shuklaphanta National Park is renowned for its reindeer population, which numbers over 2,323. Visitors can also
observe various species of birds around the lakes and rivers within the park. The park is home to 56 species of reptiles, 15 species of amphibians, 88 species of fish, 111 species of butterflies, 461 species of birds, and 56 species of mammals, as reported by the park office.
