Seven Youths Arrested in Chitwan with Large Quantity of Banned Drug


Kathmandu: The District Police Office in Chitwan has apprehended seven youths in possession of a substantial quantity of the banned drug tramadol tablets. The operation led to the seizure of a total of 17,400 capsules of the drug. The arrests took place at the Central Bus Terminal in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-7, Chitwan, earlier today.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Police Office’s Information Officer, Rabindra Khanal, stated that the youths were caught selling the tramadol tablets from a hotel in Bharatpur. While the identities of the detainees have not been disclosed, it has been confirmed that one of the individuals is from the West Champaran district of Bihar State in India. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
