Dhaka: Terrorists opened fire at a team of joint forces during its drive in Chad Uddan area of Mohammadpur in the capital responding to information that a gang was preparing to commit robbery there early today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, terrorists from the roof of a one-story building opened fire at a team of joint forces as it surrounded both sides of an alley during a drive in Chad Uddan area of Mohammadpur. This operation commenced at 12:30 am upon receiving intelligence about a planned robbery.
The team immediately took countermeasures for self-defense and successfully arrested five terrorists, who were in possession of arms. After securing the area, two bodies were recovered on the building roof, along with a pistol, four rounds of bullets, and a machete from the arrestees’ possessions.
The arrested terrorists were subsequently handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station for legal proceedings. The ISPR release assured that such operations will continue to safeguard people’s lives and properties.
