Six Reform Commissions Receive Extension Until February 15

Dhaka: The tenure of six reform commissions tasked with developing a roadmap based on recommendations for state reforms has been extended until February 15. This decision was announced through a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday night.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the commissions that have been granted additional time include the Constitutional Reform Commission, Public Administration Reform Commission, Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission, Judiciary Reform Commission, Police Reform Commission, and Electoral Reform Commission. The extension aims to allow these bodies to finalize their plans for implementing the recommended changes.

Previously, the tenure for the Constitution, Electoral System, Anti-Corruption Commission, and Police Reform Commission was set to expire on January 15. Meanwhile, the Public Administration and Judiciary Reform Commissions were initially scheduled to conclude their activities by January 31. The extension offers these commissions additional time to complete their critical work in shaping the future of state governance and reform.
