Satkhira: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized smuggled Indian goods worth about Taka 8.5 lakh from different frontier areas of the district today. Based on intelligence information, BGB team conducted drives in different frontier areas of Sadar and Kalaroa upazilas of the district and seized the Indian goods worth about Taka 8.5 lakh, said Satkhira BGB-33 Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ashraful Haque.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the smuggled goods include Indian saree, medicine, and burqa. The process of depositing the seized Indian goods at Satkhira Customs is currently underway.
