Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury today said a draft law is now awaiting for approval in the parliament as the act will help quick disposal of the cases which has been remain pending at the court for long days.
The minister said this while responding to a star-marked question raised by Jatiya Party lawmaker Begum Nazma Akhter of Women seat-46 at the question-answer session which was tabled at the Jatiya Sangsad here with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.
“A draft law on ‘State Acquisition and Tenancy (Amendment) Bill 2023’ has already been placed at the Jatiya Sangsad on June 6, 2023 …and after enactment of the law will help quick disposal of the longstanding land related cases”, said the minister.
Even the government has decided to introduce digital survey and introducing of the latest survey hopefully to reduce the land related cases immensely, he added.
