Kathmandu: Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, addressed a parliamentary party meeting, stating that individuals spreading rumors about the government’s collapse following the return of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba from Thailand have become passive. Oli urged party leaders and lawmakers to focus on party organization and their mission rather than succumbing to such misleading information, as conveyed by the Prime Minister’s personal secretariat.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Prime Minister Oli recalled Sher Bahadur Deuba’s statement upon returning from Thailand that the government would remain stable, which, in turn, left those spreading false rumors demoralized. Oli emphasized that the two major parties formed the government to ensure political stability, development, good governance, and prosperity.
Prime Minister Oli highlighted the government’s efforts to prepare a balanced budget for the upcoming fiscal year and called on party members to actively counter regressive and anti-constitutional forces that incite violence. He assured that the government remains committed to bringing those who engage in disruptive activities to justice.
Referring to the United States’ closure of the MCC project, which had been agreed upon with parliamentary approval, PM Oli stressed the importance of focusing on domestic development opportunities rather than relying excessively on external assistance. He reiterated the need for internal unity within the UML to strengthen its mission-2084 objectives.
Oli also encouraged party lawmakers to engage in parliamentary proceedings with thorough knowledge and understanding.
