Kathmandu: Three different bills were tabled in today’s meeting of the National Assembly. The Economic Procedure and Fiscal Responsibility (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, Privatization (First Amendment) Bill, 2081, and a Bill to amend Some Nepal Acts related to Improvement of Economic and Business Environment and Promotion of Investment, 2081 were presented.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel introduced the proposal seeking consideration on the bills received from the House of Representatives with a message. The proposal was approved by a majority of the assembly members.
Responding to queries raised by lawmakers, Deputy Prime Minister Paudel emphasized that financial discipline would be upheld to achieve economic reforms in the country. He highlighted the importance of proper and maximum utilization of the budget to ensure economic growth. The next meeting of the National Assembly is scheduled to take place at 1:15 pm on March 26.
