Kathmandu: The House of Representatives (HoR) has sent the Tilganga Eye University Bill-2081 BS to the relevant committee for clause-wise discussion. The proposal, put forward by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Raghuji Panta, was unanimously endorsed to send the Bill to the Committee for Legislation Management. This Bill initially originated in the National Assembly.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during the same HoR meeting, Minister for Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, representing Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, presented the National Dalit Commission’s fourth annual report for the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. Additionally, the meeting passed a condolence resolution over the demise of former State Minister Khadga Bahadur Basyal.
Basyal, who had served as a Constituent Assembly member in 2064 BS and 2070 BS representing the Nepali Congress, passed away on August 8 at the age of 74. The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet again at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
