Kathmandu: Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, has declared the necessity to strengthen national unity. At a program held at the party’s central office to welcome new leaders and cadres from various parties, Dahal emphasized the importance of defending political achievements and advancing them further.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dahal reiterated his party’s support for a directly elected executive president, highlighting the need for electoral system reforms to facilitate this change. He reflected on his tenure as Prime Minister, noting his efforts towards good governance, social justice, and economic prosperity, along with strengthening Nepal’s diplomatic relations with India and China.
Dahal expressed concern over the growing public disenchantment with the current government’s activities. He asserted the importance of moving forward to protect national unity and navigate the ongoing challenges in the political landscape.
